- We still all have a long way to go but if we can all do our little bit in our own spheres; we will be amazed by how much can be achieved.
-Abigaia isn’t going to pretend that everything is 100% sustainable & ethical as that would be a lie.
-We recognise that there is a privilege that comes with creating fully ethical brands but we are continuously researching, revisiting our ethics and finding ways to improve our small independent company as we grow and as our finance will allow.
-Below are the steps we have already taken to put our morals, thoughts, ideas and words into actions.

◌PRODUCTS◌
- We use a range of organic hemp, vegan cork cord, high quality & recycled materials in our creations.
- Earring wires used in Abigaia’s Jewellery designs were tested by Abigaia herself before they were deemed suitable to make jewellery with. She, like many of you out there, has allergies & sensitivity to certain metals and believes that you should be spared yet another pair of green “silver” earrings.
- Please note - We can’t guarantee that your sensitivity level is the same as hers. Our ears are just as unique as our fingerprints and you may have a different reaction, but every effort has been made to find great ethical suppliers who can provide certificates of authentication, especially for the sterling silver ear wires which can be sent to you if requested.

◌SUPPLIERS & CREATORS◌
- Abigaia sources as much as possible materials from local UK suppliers to aid in reducing our own carbon footprint, impact on the environment and give money back into our local economy.
-We work with ethical/vegan friendly creators or help supply them with vegan & plant-based materials to create ethical components for our jewellery designs.
-We prioritise suppliers who carbon offset their products & use recyclable packaging.
-One of Abigaia’s top priorities is to ensure individuals & freelance self-employed collaborators are getting the recognition & fair pay they deserve.

◌ MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING◌
- We have a heavy emphasis on prioritising the mental health & wellbeing of all who work with us, allowing them to create and operate in spaces where they are supported with healing love and gratitude.
This differs from a lot of the typical corporate ideological wheels which unfortunately are still present in a lot of businesses.
- Many of our collaborators and Abigaia herself have been subjected to racism in jobs, been undervalued by employers and dealt with some abhorrent working conditions over the years. Having lived these experiences, it makes us much more committed to provide a space where all people are free and feel valued.

- We use a mixture of recycled packaging, fairtrade cotton gift bags & compostable bags at our markets.
-As much as possible we use sustainable & eco-friendly materials such as; hemp twine, vegan inks, spray paints , glues and eco- friendly tape .
